Government Higher Secondary School, Bhandari celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2026. During the programme, Zuchobemo Odyuo, Sr. GT, spoke on the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future " while Tiameren Longkumer, Principal, administered the World Environment Day pledge.
A painting competition was also conducted, in which Erenbeni Lotha of class 8 was adjudged the winner. The programme was attended by teachers, students, members of the School Management Developmental Committee (SMDC) and EBRC coordinator Bhandari.
Earlier, the celebration began with mass social work and tree plantation drive was carried out on the school campus.
As part of the celebration, the District Administration also initiated a plantation drive, where all Head of Offices under the Sub-division participated by planting saplings at their respective office premises.
