The Nagaland Olympic Association proudly organized a tree plantation drive as part of the Olympic Day 2026 celebration on 23rd June, 2026 along with the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and Affiliated Associations of NOA. A total of 2,036 trees were planted across Nagaland, symbolizing a collective commitment towards environmental sustainability and a greener future under the theme of “Move, Inspire, Together”.
In line with the initiative of the Indian Olympic Association and in support of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Forest initiative, the event witnessed the active participation of various sports associations, whose involvement greatly contributed to the success of the plantation drive.
The tree plantation reflects the Nagaland Olympic Association’s continued dedication to promoting not only sporting excellence but also environmental consciousness within communities. Through this initiative, the Association hopes to inspire citizens, especially the youth, to contribute towards preserving nature while upholding the spirit of the Olympic Movement.
The Nagaland Olympic Association expresses its sincere appreciation to all sports associations, athletes, officials, volunteers, organisations and members who supported and contributed to the success of the tree plantation drive. Their collective efforts played a vital role in making the event a success.
