Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yhome said that this event marks an important milestone in the expansion and development of Kohima. He stressed that as our town continues to develop, we must remember that no city can expand unless villages are willing to contribute their land. However, he said we must also understand that urbanization brings tremendous pressure on the village as land is a precious and limited resource.

He acknowledged the wisdom and foresight of the elders of T. Khel as they have set aside the land for the benefit of future generations and their vision deserves our deepest appreciation. He said that apart from our places of worship, schools are the temples of education that liberate our people through knowledge.

He mentioned that he is delighted to witness the growth of this Government Primary School where the number of students has grown to 67 students and congratulated the Head Teacher together with seven other teachers, leading the school with dedication and commitment and also the School Management Committee, especially its present members, for their guidance and support.

Dr. Yhome also acknowledged the leaders of T. Khel for taking this remarkable initiative saying that many such community contributions often go undocumented, but today we are beginning to record and recognize these efforts, which is important for future generations. stressing that the achievement belongs entirely to the community, he said it has been built through the sacrifice, generosity, and collective vision. Many of the children studying here come from humble backgrounds. While the government's resources are limited, communities like yours continue to strengthen the educational ecosystem, not only by constructing school buildings but also by donating land and supporting infrastructure, he added.

The Advisor said the investment made today is not merely an investment in physical infrastructure but more importantly, it is an investment in our social and human capital, and hoped that the school will continue to grow and flourish.

Chairman, KMC, Neibodzelie Solo in his short address mentioned that proper waste management is a matter of great importance for both public health and environment and further acknowledged the Khel, that waste management has been given due attention and hoped that we will all continue to dispose off our waste responsibly and keep the area clean.
