The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Tening, Peren on 15th August 2026, with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tening, Neilezo Tep, NCS hoisting the National flag with the National Song, followed by Rashtriya Salute and the National Anthem. He also delivered the Independence Day address,

The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag at government offices and institutions across Tening at 6:00 AM. The programme was compered by Kaibakram, PT GMS, Nzau Namsan.

The celebration witnessed the participation of government officials, personnel and members of the public, reflecting the spirit of patriotism, unity and collective commitment towards the progress of the nation.
