In Kiphire, Teacher's Day 2026 was celebrated at PM SHRI GHSS Kiphire with Rev. Fr. Philip Magh, Principal of Loyala Higher Secondary School, Kiphire as Special Guest on 5th September 2026. The program was organised by the Department of School Education Kiphire.

The Special Guest felicitated the teachers and exhorted them by saying that teachers are the light and the path who shaped the future of the students.

Daniel Sechopi Sangtam (GT), GHS Yangphi Kiphire; Gabriel Yimchunger (PT) GMS Pungro Village; and T. Chotingla Sangtam Asst. Teacher, Good Shepherd School Kiphire were the District Awardees. While Vika S. Sumi (GT) GHS, Sitimi Town received the State Teacher Award.

Prelude by BC Olive School Kiphire; Folk song by GMS Station B, Kiphire; Ode to Teachers by Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire; Entertainment by Cambridge High School, Kiphire; and Felicitation of Meritorious students in HSLC 2026 by T.V. Thomas, President KDPSS were the highlights of the program.

Welcome address was delivered by M. Narola Longkumer, District Education Officer, Kiphire and invocation by Dr. Bhim Sapkota, Pastor GBC, Kiphire. The programme was compere by Kiuremong and Phangmeijungla. Vote of thanks was proposed by T. Lirila Sangtam, Sr. SDEO, Kiphire.
