The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of September was held on 18th September 2026, at DPDB Hall, Longleng, under the chairperson of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, NCS. The meeting commenced with an introduction of new board members.

The Department of Medical briefed the house on TB Mukh Bharat Abhiyan, where the Department urged the board members and well-wishers to support the TB patient through financial assistance.

During the meeting, the Chairman briefed the house on the major development project in the district, the Light House project at Government Higher Secondary School Longleng and on-going construction of District Hospital Longleng.

After the review of the previous meeting minutes, agendas discussed in the meeting was establishment of a blood storage unit and blood bank at District Hospital Longleng, a proposal from the medical department, where the MS, briefly highlighted the requirement. The house approved the proposal to be forwarded to the higher authority.

The house also discussed the proposed external electrification and installation of a new 100kV distribution transformer for the new District Hospital Longleng building.

The house also discussed organising the departmental sports meet in the month of October.

The chairman entrusted the DPO Social Welfare department to collect the data on how many Anganwadi centres are functioning in private buildings and Government buildings.

The department of Education (DEO/SDEO) Longleng presented the departmental activities through a power point presentation. The ADC requested the School Education department to submit the reason for the 10 numbers of schools being blacklisted.

The Police department was entrusted for the presentation in the next DPDB meeting.
