The Central Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) team from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), NIDM, CBRI and senior consultants visited Longleng on 7th October 2026, in connection with the ongoing Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) undertaken in Nagaland. A meeting with all line departments under DDMA Longleng was held at DPDB hall, Longleng.

Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, NCS, welcomed the team and the members, and briefed the house on the section of damaged caused during the monsoon season.

PWD (R&B) and Agri-Allied department presented the damaged assessment report of roads and fields under Longleng District through a power point presentation. On behalf of CSOs, the President PPC, Y.B. Angam Phom, shared the difficulties faced by the District.

The team encouraged the departments to ensure that all actual damaged and losses are properly documented to facilitate accurate assessment and effective post disaster planning.

The team comprises of, Mickey Mecon Dalbehera, Scientist E CBRI Roorkee, Rohit Kumar, Assistant Professor NIDM, Indranil Bose, Senior Consultant-Infra-Structure Section, Shashank Mishra, Lead Consultant NIDM, Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Assistant Professor NIDM, C.P, Mohan Senior Consultant- Productive Section, Chandani P.C Senan, Senior Consultant NDMA and L. Jonhibemo Odyuo, Assistant Manager (Relief, Recovery & Mitigation) NSDMA.

The meeting concluded after a consultative discussion with the team and line departments.
