In a first for the State, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, in collaboration with ConveGenius, brought together organisations working across Nagaland's education landscape for a Partner Meet on Integration with the Nagaland Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) at Kohima on 5th October 2026. The aim was to move from many parallel efforts to one coordinated, data-driven ecosystem.
Nagaland VSK is being developed as the central hub for education data and technology-enabled governance. Partners learned how it can serve as the single source of truth for the State, where the work of each organisation is captured, recognised and made visible. By aligning their data with VSK's 6A Framework (Attendance, Adaptive Learning, Assessment, Administration, Accreditation and AI), partners can have their contributions reflected at the national level through the Rashtriya Vidya Samiksha Kendra (RVSK), which connects Nagaland to the national education data architecture.
Delivering the key address, L. Jamithung Lotha, IAS, State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, noted that many interventions across the State are currently running in silos, with little cross-coordination. This often leads to duplication of effort and unnecessary use of resources. He stressed that forums like this one are meant to shed light on the range of work under way, build awareness among partners of each other's interventions, and create a more collaborative environment in which the data generated by every programme flows into the VSK.
Partners shared their ongoing initiatives and explored how their datasets, APIs, dashboards and technology solutions could connect with the platform. Discussions covered student, teacher and school registries, attendance, assessment, adaptive learning, accreditation, administration, field monitoring and AI-enabled insights. By the close of the meet, participants had agreed on the need for a phased approach to data integration, with less duplication in data collection, common reporting frameworks and greater interoperability across education initiatives.
The meet saw participation from NagaEd, Elevate Foundation, Vibha India, Antarang Foundation, Lend A Hand India, Mantra for Change, Key Education Foundation, NECTAR and NITI, along with Shiksha Lokam, Saturday Art Class, IPE Global, Luminous Infoways, Probit Plus and other organisations active in the State. Officials from Samagra Shiksha, the Directorate of School Education, SCERT and NBSE.
The partners collectively committed to working with the State to bring quality education to every learner in Nagaland, using data, technology and collaboration to strengthen planning, monitoring and decision-making.
