In pursuant of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Scholarship Division, letter no. 16-19/2020 NS-1 dated the 31st July, 2020, the Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for information of all concerned that the beneficiary students may open an account as an option in the Post Office or use existing Post Office account for the purpose of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS).

The Post Offices are providing banking and insurance services, the banking services may be useful for the beneficiaries of such scheme as the Post Offices have some popular small saving schemes like Post Office Savings Bank Account (POSB) and Public Provident Fund Scheme (PPF). Therefore, the NBSE has requested all heads of institutions to disseminate this information to the students.
