A joint meeting with all the intending candidates and political agents to 60 Pungro Kiphire Assembly Constituency was held at DC Conference hall, Kiphire on 19th October 2020.

General observer Dev Raj Dev, highlighted a brief about the Model code of conduct (MMC). He stated that MCC is a guidance for all the political parties and is a set of norms which has been involved with the consensus of political parties who have consented to abide by the principles embodied in the said code and also binds them to respect and observe it in its letter and spirit. He said MCC is enforced from the date of announcement of election schedule by the Election Commission and is operational till the process of Elections are completed.

ADC & RO Kiphire, Nyempo Wallim chaired the meeting where she also urged all the candidates and political agents to cooperate with one another and to be abide by the guidelines for the success of the upcoming Bye Election.
