“As regards the total number of COVID-19 cases detected today, it is 23 cases- 5 in Kohima, 13 in Dimapur, 3 in Phek and 2 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,638.

Out of the 9,638 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 8,764. The active cases are 725 and there have been 46 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms 681 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild, 14 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 13 active cases are severe on oxygen, 2 active cases are critical without oxygen and 1 active case is on ventilator.

Further, out of 9,638 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 4,094 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,694 cases of Returnees, 3,379 cases of Traced Contacts and 471 cases of Frontline Workers.

A total of 65,273 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 64,113 samples have been received. In addition, a total 34,745 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 34,734 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 5,009 samples have been tested.”
