DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has informed to all concerned that in view of the miniscule coverage of Ayushman Bharat Card in the District (~2% of eligible households) under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) which provides a benefit of upto Rs. 5 Lac/year to Below Poverty Line households whose name feature in SECC 2011 for availing secondary and tertiary treatment in empanelled hospitals, efforts are being made to sensitise the mass and enhance the coverage of the same.

In this regard, the health staffs of respective health units will require help in disseminating the information and collecting documents necessary to make the card for eligible households. Therefore, all have been requested to extend cooperation and coordinate in carrying out the exercise to ensure that the benefits are availed by the masses as intended.
