In continuation of office order No.GA/DEV/COVID-19/2020/187/Dated, Mon the 25th March, 2020, in the interest of public health and safety, Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS has directed that no other person besides the driver will be allowed per vehicle within Mon Town. Vehicles found violating this order will be penalised under Section 188 of the Indian penal Code.

DC, Mon also issued an order that received complaints from the general public that some Fair Price Shops in Mon District are selling rice, meant public distribution, at a price more than the prescribed rate. Further, such rice is being sold in the black market as well.

In this regard, all the Fair Price Shops in Mon District are hereby strictly directed to sell the rice at the price set by the Government of Nagaland. Failure to comply with this order will lead to immediate cancellation of the Shop Permit without any exception.
