National Board of Accreditation (NBA) being the prerequisite for Up gradation, Expansion, Enhancement of enrolment etc. for all the Technical Institutions approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu, (KPA), the Department of Technical Education, Nagaland, had achieved its feat to qualify for Up gradation from Diploma program to Degree Engineering program, which is the long felt need of the hour.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Kohima, through a press release extended its sincere gratitude to the Principal, Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu, Staff & Faculties, Students and all Stakeholders for their relentless effort and making the Institute to obtained accreditation in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering for a period of 3 (three) academic years w.e.f 2021 up to 2024.
It stated that the accreditation could be made possible because of the constant moral and physical support received from Minister for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along and Adviser to CM, Technical Education & Election, Medo Yhokha, Hon’ble. Under their visionary leadership, the Institute had worked with zeal and determination pulling all available resources. The Department also expressed its gratitude to Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio for granting additional fund for facelift of the institute in respect of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu and Government Polytechnic Kohima, to go for NBA.
The Government Polytechnic, Kohima (GPK), is also expected to follow suit and work for obtaining NBA accreditation. The Milestone achievement will pave the way for further growth of Technical Education in the State.
The Department of Technical Education, Nagaland also recalls the tremendous contribution made by the coordinator of NBA, Late Er. Vizekhol Rhutso, Principal-In-charge, Government Polytechnic, Aboi, Mon.
