The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS in an order stated that it has come to the notice that there are construction/building materials, stone, logs, timbers, off road vehicles etc. lying along the road/Highway causing obstruction to free flow of traffic and pedestrian movement. Therefore, in the interest of public order and safety, dumping of such materials and parking of off-road vehicles along the highway is strictly prohibited. All such obstructing materials /off-road vehicles should be removed immediately by the concerned owner, failing which materials shall be removed, confiscated and disposed off as deem fit and defaulters will be penalised, off road vehicles shall also be towed away by the police at the expense of the owners. In the exigent case whereby loading/un-loading of such materials is inevitable, concerned owners should ensure that such loading/un-loading and removal are made between 06:00 PM to 07:00 AM and not prior or after the scheduled time.
