Celebrating the Police Commemoration Day and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) Mokokchung Police organized a programme from 21st to 31st October 2021 at DEF Mokokchung.

Various activities were conducted during the celebration.  Police Commemoration Day 2021 was observed at New Reserve, Quarter Guard, Mokokchung on 21st October 2021 where representatives from sister agencies, NGOs and Civil Societies attended the program. Police officials also visited villages of martyrs and respective OCs of concerned Police Stations and presented martyrs photo album to Vi9llage Council Chairman and Police Stations.

Exhibitions highlighting contribution of Police martyrs were distributed in the form of leaflets. It was decided that the new DEF School Building which is under construction will be named after the then S.P Mokokchung Late Ved Prakash, IPS who was martyred on 26-08-1994.

Activities such as Painting competition for the students of Police School, DEF Mokokchung and friendly volleyball match between DEF Mokokchung and NAP BN were part of the programme.

Unity Run under the Theme “Role of Police in Nation Building” was also organized on 30th October 2021 in Mokokchung Town, where around 100 participants from Home Guards & Civil Defence, NPTO, NCC (Fazl College), AKM and members from Run Mokokchung participated.
