The Angami Women Organization (AWO) has felicitated all the awardees of the Nagaland State Commission for Women: Imdanglemla Aier; L. Dorothy Chang; Zhonelü Tünyi; Kevinourheno Seyie (who is also a member of AWO) and Yomah Konyak and the MykiFest 2021-22 awardees by Women Development Department namely Sesino Yhoshü, Proprietor, TakeOne Kohima; Zakilhounuo Tepa, a Taxi Driver; Abi Humtsoe, Naga Traditional Corner, Wokha and Sibeule Zeliang, a prominent woman leader from Peren on account of the International Women’s Day.
It said that these women have created space for themselves in women leadership, workplace, livelihood, social and cultural sectors despite many challenges and barriers. While celebrating their achievements with joy and pride, the AWO thanked the NSCW and Women Development Department for recognizing women’s contribution to a better society and a sustainable tomorrow.
The Angami Women Organization also conveyed our heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and his colleagues, various political parties, tribal Hohos, and NGOs for arriving at a consensus to conduct the ULB election under the 74th Amendment Act and appreciated all those who have carried forward the cause of women for a better humanity.
