The kick-off programme of the 2nd Supervision Mission of Fostering of Climate Resilient Upland Farming System in the Northeast (FOCUS)-Nagaland was held on 17th August at Hotel Vivor, Kohima.

A six-member team headed by Programme Officer, Frew Behabtu and three members from FOCUS-Mizoram arrived in the State and some officials from IFAD joined virtually. The mission team is scheduled to visit different districts, interact with the project team and Agri & Allied departments from 18-24th August.

Agriculture Production Commissioner and Mission Director, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS chaired the programme virtually and welcomed the visiting team members. He also addressed on the financial constraint of the state. Deputy State Director-FOCUS, I. Lipokonen Jamir, gave an overview presentation of the physical, financial achievements, the status of the agreed actions of previous mission of the project and the travel itinerary for the field visit.

Later, the Agriculture Production Commissioner met and interacted with the team members at Hotel Vivor followed by dinner hosted by the APC.
