Kiphire District celebrated Teachers' Day on 5th September 2022 at Hopongkyu Memorial hall, Kiphire with the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, T. Wati Aier, NCS as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Wati said that students should respect their teachers and appreciate them for their tireless effort by providing quality education and guiding them. He urged the students to maintain discipline and to be pro-active and focused in all the activities to be a good student.
The Deputy Commissioner also called upon teachers to pay special attention in Mathematics and Science as many students are weak in the two subjects. Stressing on the role of a teacher, he said apart from teaching, they are also a mentor and a guide for the students. He also asked that teachers to coordinate with the staff and students for better environment and urged them to be patient while dealing with the students.
Kiphire District Teachers felicitation of Teacher's award 2022 for meritorious service rendered towards the students’ community was awarded to three teacher: Samuel PGT (History) GHSS; Mhomo GT, GHS, Yangphi and S.Tethsomong Sangtam, PT, GMS Sangphure. Merit Student award in HSLC from Kiphire district, sponsored by KDPSS, was awarded to Chumtila A Sangtam from Saramati Modern View School. All the awardees were awarded certificates and cash prizes.
