A new Nagaland State Transport (NST) day service bus channeling Zunheboto to Dimapur via state capital Kohima was launched by Advisor, School Education & SCERT, K.T. Sukhalu at Zunheboto district on 21 July 2022.
While addressing the gathering, Sukhalu thanked and appreciated the concerned minister Paiwang Konyak for sincerely acknowledging the need of the district and making the bus service a reality. He lauded the President, Sumi Kükami Hoho, Kashito Yeputhomi, and his colleagues for initiating the project and making it possible eventually. He added that the district remains obliged and appreciative of the concerns of chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
Further, the Advisor appealed to the Department for proper maintenance and also urged the public to always treat the property as their own to prolong its services.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by President NDPP, Zunheboto region, Khehoshe H. Yeptho, and Chairman GBs Union Zunheboto Town, Shihoto Zhimo- both of them acknowledged the effort of Advisor, KT Sukhalu along with other stakeholders.
The launching programme was chaired by Superintendent NST, Zunheboto, N Aier who further pointed out that passengers from the district should always insist on buying tickets from the counters while traveling because it not only adds to the revenue of the government but also works as an insurance for the travelers in case of unfortunate incidents.
