Mohammed Ali Shihab A, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and Electoral Roll Observer for Tuensang, Noklak and Shamator districts visited Shamator district on 23rd November 2023 to review progress of the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll in the district.

Chairing a comprehensive review meeting which was held at DC Conference Hall Shamator, Electoral Roll Observer was joined by Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), Supervisors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), representatives of different political parties and Booth Level Agents (BLAs). Wherein, the E-Roll Observer highlighted the process of Special Summary Revision w.r.t 01.01.2024 as the qualifying date and also expressed that eligible and genuine voters should not be left out.

Following the review meeting, administrative officers accompanied the Electoral Roll Observer on visits to Polling Stations no. 7 (Shamator HQ ‘A’) and PS no. 8 (Shamator HQ ‘B’) under the 58 Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency.
