A delegation of Eastern Nagaland Legislatures and DUDA Department officials led by Minister for Health & Family Welfare and AYUSH S. Pangnyu Phom, had called on CEO NITI Aayog Amitab Kant at his office in New Delhi on 24th August 2021.    

During the discussion, the Minister and MLAs highlighted on the special package announced by the Prime Minster Narendra Modi during his visit to Eastern Nagaland in 2018, based on the announcement a Multi-Disciplinary Committee was set up to look into the matter which was headed by Ministry of Home Affairs. A comprehensive project was prepared and submitted the same to the Ministry of DoNER, but till date the project could not sanction.

The delegation appealed to the C.E.O. and officials present in the meeting to look into the project submitted in the Ministry.

Amitab Kant assured to fully co-corporate and support in taking up the project proposal laying with the Ministry of DoNER. He further advised the delegation to re-prioritize the top priority among the Project proposal submitted in the Ministry.

The Delegation was accompanied by DRC Wennyei Konyak, OSD Planning, Thomas Thailu and Deputy Director & PRO (IPR), Kuolie Mere.
