Based on reliable input about a drug smuggler arriving from Manipur with drugs on 15.06.2022, the SP Crime & PRO PHQ, Nagaland has informed that the personnel of CID Branch Dimapur at around 1700 hrs, apprehended one suspect from Dimapur Blue Hill station area namely Somi Valui Tangkhul, S/o-Late Ningaima Tangkhul, V/o-Snakathei, PS-Ukhrul, Manipur, and upon search, one black coloured polybag containing about 2.820 Kgs of suspected local made brown sugar (extracted from Opium plant and dried into line powder) worth approx Rs. 20 lakhs was recovered and seized from the possession of the suspect. The seized items along with the accused were later handed over to East Police Station and a case vide East Police Station Case No.133/2022 U/S 22 (c) NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation.
