On receiving information regarding the drowning incident at Doyang river (Mokokchung road) DDMA Wokha deployed Home Guards & Civil Defence (HG&CD) and SDRF (force) Wokha on 3rd November 2022.

The team led by Sub-Inspector along with 18 personnel did a search operation for two days. On day one the SDRF team did a search and rescue operation through paddle search, line search, and using OBM. SDRV personnel carried OBM for 4 Km which took around one hour to reach the spot. On day one search operation was called off around 4:00 PM.

On the next day, the SDRF team reached the spot around 7:00 AM along with NDRF (force) and local communities, and started the search operation. At around 11:00 AM the body was successfully retrieved by the SDRF personnel and local divers. The victim was Aghoto Chopi (38) of Lotisa New village.
