District Planning and Development meeting held at DC’s conference hall Tuensang on 6th November 2020. Kumar Ramnikant IAS DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang chaired the meeting.

The forum discussed on the COVID 19 present scenario. DC enquired regarding Office attendance and functioning of the respective departments of the district.

Agenda on opening of schools was discussed where the ADEO Tuensang responded that the department is all preparing but will depend on the NBSE survey directives. She also highlighted on all the ongoing exercises in the department like online classes and exams where she also mentioned the partial classes for classes IX and X but the outcome is too small she added. She mentioned factors that are hampering the ongoing processes like slow internet connectivity and infrastructures for segregation of the pupils inside the class.

IRCS agenda on enrolment of officers of the district was also discussed and reaffirmed that the DPDB members be a member IRCS. Er. Chingmak Chang Executive Engineers Water Resources Tuensang was conferred a life time officer member of IRCS of the District.

The agenda of dilapidated condition of NH 202 was also discussed where the EE NH Tuensang responded that the restoration works are on and department workforce at stationed at three different places in action. He also conveyed to the house that in the earliest possible the NH 202 will be taken over by NHIDCL which may be good sign for the improvement of the road he added. While other members also apprised on the deplorable condition needs new construction with widening new bridges and are of the view that only repairing could not give the solution to the recent situations. The NH department Tuensang was asked to furnish the details of the roads and bridges within NH 202 so that DP&DB may forward to the competent authority for the early bailout of the situation. 

The house also discussed on the random parking vehicles at the road and traffic diversions within the town and decided to set up a committee comprising District Administration, Town Council, Transport, Police and All Ward Union to review the matter.
