The monthly Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of August was held on 11th August 2022 at DC's Conference Hall, Peren.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner & Vice-chairman DPDB Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS reiterated the members to be present in their respective place of posting and carry out their works with sincerity. He also informed the members that the 2nd Quarterly District Development Coordination & Monitoring (DISHA) meeting with MP (Lok Sabha) and Chairperson DISHA, Tokheho Yepthomi has been convened on 25th August 2022 at DC's Conference Hall, for which he directed the concerned Heads of Offices to attend the meeting positively.
In the meeting, the proposal for setting up of Health Unit at Peren Hq. was approved to be forwarded to the higher authority for further action. On the agenda for increasing Aadhaar enrollment in the district, the DC asserted Peren district is lacking behind as compared to other districts and after discussion, the Board decided to organise Aadhar enrollment camps in all the sub-divisions where enrollment ratio is low starting from this month itself.
With regard to the discussion on celebration of 75th Independence Day, the DC reminded the members on the campaign, 'Har Ghar Tiranga' wherein, he requested them to hoist the National Flags in their respective office buildings and upload the photo in the DPDB group. He also informed the Heads of Offices present to ensure their respective Sub-divisional Officers to be present during the function without fail.
The meeting also approved the proposals for opening of Hill Mission School at Peren Hq and registration of Gracious Society, Ahthibung.
As entrusted during the previous meeting, the Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Social Welfare presented a PowerPoint presentation highlighting on the activities and achievements of their respective departments.
Earlier, a minute of silence was also observed in honour of John Zeliang, ADS, F&CS, Peren who passed away recently.
Peren District Task Force on COVID-19 meeting and a consultative meeting to deliberate on matter relating to Aspirational Block, Tening was also held.
