Peren Observed International Day of Girl Child on 11th October, 2020 under the theme "My Voice, Our Equal Future" which emphasizes on the adolescent girls to keep pace with the reality they face today. It is a day dedicated to amplify the voice of the girl child stand up for their rights.

To mark the occasion District Administration, Sakhi-One Stop Centre in convergence with Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) and Mahila Shakti Kendra initiated Sponsorship Scholarship with the objective to celebrate the achievement and is also a call to action for accelerating gender parity as well as to encourage, recognise and support meritorious girl students belonging to weaker section. Ziedibi of class 10 and Leihaucule of class 12, both from Government Higher Secondary School, Peren received Sponsorship Scholarship with an amount of Rs. 5000/- each based on their outstanding performances. 

Meanwhile, as part of skill development programme, knitting set and plastic rope for making basket were also distributed to the girl child and adolescents of Servanthood Ministry Children Home Peren town.
