Women Self Help Groups, Phek Block Level Federation under Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission was held its first general body meeting on 5th November 2021 at Phek Town hall with SDO (C) Phek, Zhoi Lohe as the guest speaker.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that everyone needs to know how to earn and live their livelihood economically, thereby enhance the living standard. Lohe stated that, women have opportunities in difference ways like capacity building, quality development to look after families as well as society for which, he encouraged the women folk to understand themselves in all fields and take responsibilities for the growth of the society.

While acknowledging SHGs for their various successes, he urged that there is still a long way to go and catch with the rest of the world. He stressed on the need for transparency in cash and accountabilities so that every members work tirelessly.

The day-long meeting was chaired by Vice President of the federation, Zhoveshelu Venuh while welcome note was given by Thenole Akami, BLF. A folk tune was presented by Chepoketa village and Vebulu Lohe performed a song. Greeting message was delivered by Sezokholu Rhakho, Block Development Officer-cum-BMM NSRLM, Phek, Heipeunding Ilunglung exhorted the gathering. SBI bank manager also spoke on the occasion. Secretary report was given by general secretary, Khrukulu Rhakho.
