Along with the rest of the world Phek District observed World AIDS Day at Conference Hall, District Hospital, Phek on 1st December 2021 which was organized by DAPCU, DLN, ELF & Vihaan, Phek and sponsored by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society under the theme “End inequalities, End AIDS, End pandemics”.

Zhoi Lohe SDO (C), Phek stressed on the awareness of do’s and don’ts regarding AIDS. He paid tribute and remembered the people who have lost their lives to AIDS, he called upon the people not to discriminate but love them. He requested the stakeholders to organize such programs even in schools and colleges so that they also know the prevention measures of the disease.

President of District Level Network, Mese Letro and Khriezotuo Paphino, CMO, Phek also spoke on the occasion.

The program was chaired by Thuputo Venuh, PM ELF, Phek. Invocation by Chivo Medeo, Youth Director, PTBC; welcome address by Kuduvo Kezo, DPO, DAPCU; special number was sang by Velato Nienu; presentation of HIV Scenario in Phek District was given by Hierhotho Kajiri, DIS, DAPCU.
