Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the DC's Conference Hall, Phek on 10th September 2026. The Board discussed agendas on i) The Grant-In-Aid in respect of Spero School at Thenyizu village, under Phek jurisdiction. ii) Proposal of new Veterinary Health Centre at Phusachuda and Rihuba villages under Chozuba Sub-Division, Phek. iii) Opening of Veterinary Health Centre (VHC) under the department of AH&VS at Losami village, Phek. iv) Upgradation of PHC Chethepa to CHC under Health and Family Welfare Department.

The four agendas were deliberated at length in which the concerned officers, CVO (AH&VS) and CMO (H&FW) briefed present position with that of concerned agendas, then the house agreed to recommend to the matters to government for consideration.

The Board also discussed on the Inter Department Sports Tournament for Phek district which is tentatively scheduled to be held in the second week of October 2026. ADC Phek Hq. Thejakhrienuo Nisa was selected as the Convener and DSO Phek as Member secretary and four officers as Members of the Committee.

DC Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, who Chaired the meeting as Vice Chairman, DPDB, Phek gave a detailed briefing with regard to Presentation on conduct of Reform Utsav at the meeting.

Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Government of Nagaland, Kudecho Khamo, also addressed the House. He highlighted the recent achievements and developments in Eastern Nagaland, comprising five districts of the State, under Article 371(A) of the Constitution of India. He expressed his appreciation to the State Government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, for its efforts and initiatives towards the development of the region.

Manager, SBI (Bank), Phek, S. H. Kohusii and Assistant Branch Manager, NSCB Ltd Phek, Kenesa Kezo highlighted various schemes/activities of the respective Bank that are beneficial to public.
