The Phek District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs & Chairman DPDB, Phek at DC's conference Hall, Phek on 10th July 2026.  

Addressing the meeting, the Minister spoke concerning the Government policy of decentralization of Planning & Development Board down to the district level, and urged the Members and Officers to actively participate in the DPDB meetings. 

Kenye also spoke concerning the development funds under Urban Local Body in the district, and encouraged the Chairperson, Phek Town Council to initiate developmental program accordingly. 

He also enquired about Law-and-Order situation in the district, and urged the district Administration and Police to be alert and vigil, asserting that the district is located bordering to most conflicting state of Manipur. 

Deliberating on unsettled matter for the establishment of Radar at Pfutsero, the DC, Rhosietho Nguori and ADC Pfutsero, Mhalo Lotha apprised the board that the establishment of Radar at Pfutsero is impossible as expressed by the Pfutsero Public. In this regard the Minister directed the ADC, Pfutsero to submit the report to the DC Phek to enable the State government to take appropriate decision. 

After a brief deliberation, the board formally approved the schemes under the Local Area Development Programmes (LADP) 2026-2027. The agendas for proposal of schemes under LADP was put up by the Deputy Commissioner, Rhosietho Nguori.

Meeting also discussed on reports of marketing difficulties faced by the cabbage grower of Razeba Range in the district. In this matter, the DHO (Horti) Phek, apprised the house that the State Horticulture Department is on the job seeking buyers for sale and purchase of products. He stated that 100 bags of cabbage had been purchased from Razeba Range just few days ago. 

The DHO (Horti) Phek, Kelhouzakie Chielie and DSCO (Soil) Phek, Peleneilhou Patrick highlighted their respective departmental activities of the Horticulture and Soil & Water Conservation departments implemented in the district through PowerPoints presentation. Deputy Commissioner, Rhosietho Nguori, chaired the meeting.
