A meeting for briefing in connection with the ensuing General Election to the 14th NLA was held at DC's Conference Hall Phek on 9th February 2023, where all Election Observers for Phek, which included General Observers, Police Observers, and Expenditure Observers were at the meeting. 

At the meeting, DC & DEO Phek Kumar Ramnikant IAS highlighted in detail the status of manpower for deployment against 202 (two hundred and two) polling stations in the district, for which he said that the first phase of training for polling officials was successfully done, in addition to which the second phase of the same training has been fixed on 10th Feb'23 that he said at the briefing. 

SP Phek, Bharat Laxman Markad IPS at the briefing spoke about security matters in connection to the forthcoming General Election during which he updated that the public had so far deposited 269 Nos of arms in the District. 

Nodal officer for EEM Cell, Er. Hutovi Swu had updated liquor seized made by FST/SST/POLICE on Election duty that so far 2041.39 liters with a value in Rs.15,33,850/-(rupees fifteen lacs thirty-three thousand eight hundred and fifty) only, where liquor seized done by Excise Department on Election duty in the district was 204.15 liters which are worth Rs.17,02,650/- (Rupees seventeen lacs two thousand six hundred and fifty) only.

Nodal officers of various committees also shared each of their updated arrangements and the ongoing election-related activities with the Observers at the briefing.

The briefing session conducted by DC & DEO Phek was a kind of closed interaction meeting.
