Phek District observed the International Day of Older Persons 2022 on 1st October 2022 at Town Hall, Phek.

Project Director, DRDA Phek, Razukhru D Vasa spoke on the theme "The Resilience of Older Women". He said that aging is a blessing as mentioned in the Bible "Gray hair is a Crown”. He also encouraged older people to choose active living.

Short speeches were spoken by Dr. Ngopelo Sr. Medical Officer and Kelhriengunou, Field Response Officer NHSU.

The programme was chaired by Shesuyi Vese President of PDSCA. Welcome addressed and introductory remarks were said and made by Anyile Khamo District Welfare Officer Phek where Vetshuzo Khamo said thanksgiving words.

Opening and benediction prayers were pronounced by Dr.Vezoto Soho, Assoc. Pastor, PTBC and Thepfuneizo Yhor, Pastor ABC Phek.
