Mon District witnessed the laying of the foundation stone for construction of hostels under DA-JGUA scheme and the launching of the PM SHRI Government Middle School Mon Town ‘A’ by Union Cabinet Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan in the presence of Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education and Minister of State for Education & Independent Charge, MSDE, Jayant Chaudhary, in a virtual ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 29th July 2025.

The programme was organised by District Education Office Mon, at Government Higher Secondary School, Mon ‘C’. The event was streamed live and collectively viewed by the students, teachers, along with the District Administration officials.

             EAC Mon Hq., Er. Mhao during his speech encouraged the students to be responsible citizens, contributing to the society and not indulging in bad habits. He also encouraged them to study well and bring good results, and further urged them to be cautious while choosing their career.
