Superintendent of Police (Crime) & PRO, PHQ Nagaland, through a press release stated that on 23rd February, 2022, Personnel of Narcotic cell police station, CID, manning Narcotic Check Point Khuzama, Kohima, stopped a vehicle B/R No. MN 01AG-3041 (Maruti A-Star) silver colour, for routine checking at around 1530 hrs. Search of the vehicle and the occupants resulted in recovery of 20 (Twenty) soap cases of suspected heroin weighing approximately 220 grams, which were seized.

It added that three persons namely, (1) Hengul Lhouvum (M) 37 yrs, S/o - Seigin Lhouvum V/o - Molhoi Leimakhong. PO/PS — Leimakhong. District —Senapati, State - Manipur (2) Holminthang Baite (M) 30 yrs, S/o - Thongam Baite, V/o — N. Terakhong Laikoiching, PO/PS — Lamlong, District - Senapati, State - Manipur (3) T.S. Haolensei Baite (M)18 yrs 7 month. S/o - Jamkhokhai Baite. V/o - N. Terakhong, PO/PS — Lamlong, District — Senapati, State - Manipur have been arrested.

In this connection, a case vide Narcotic Cell PS Case No. 002/2022 U/S 21 (B) / 60 NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation
