District level launching programme of Poshan Pakhwada 2023 in collaboration with Sangsangnyu ICDS project was held at CKS Hall, Tuensang on 21st March 2023. 

DC Tuensang, Nokchasashi, NCS said that in the past, children were malnourished but with the convergent department implementing different schemes such as the mid day meal by the School Education Department and Social Welfare Department at Anganwadi Centers where nutritional food are provided, for the health of the children. He further said Poshan Pakhwada is a fourteen-day long programme where the Social Welfare Department will be conducting different activities at the District, Block and Village level. He called upon all the convergent departments and the community leaders to give their cooperation for the successful implementation of the programme at the district. The DC also administered the Poshan Pledge and officially launched Poshan Pakhwada 2023.

A brief note on Poshan Pakhwada was presented by Natichumdam. Welcome address and vote of thanks were delivered by DPO (ICDS), T. Longlang Luckpan and District Coordinator, PMMVY Tuensang L. Tonen Chang respectively. The programme was chaired by Hanglenchila.
