Wokha District Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of February 2021 was held at the DC’s conference hall on 9th Feb 2021. Vice Chairman, DPDB & Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha chaired the meeting.

            Assistant Manager (IPPB), Nabin Kar gave a presentation on the benefits of Indian Postal payment Bank (IPPB). He also highlighted on the products offered like regular and basic saving account and current accounts, doorstep banking (bank service to be provided in the village itself), DBT and remittance (student scholarships and Govt. schemes), fund transfers, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS etc, AEPS-money withdrawal from any bank (SBI, Allahabad bank etc) through ADHAAR No and DTH recharge and mobile recharge.

            Chief Executive Officer (NRSO), Surenthung Enny highlighted on the establishment of the Nagaland State Research Organization office.

            The board after long deliberation recommended and forwarded to the State government for approval for establishing the office of Nagaland State Research Organization.
