The Department of Power felicitated Dr. K.D. Vizo, ITS Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland for his service as the Principal Secretary to the department at an official felicitation programme at Hotel Vivor, Kohima on 31st March 2023.

Dr. K.D Vizo commended all the officers and staff of the Department for all the hard work they had put in while ensuring the power needs of the public were met. He said that the department has improved in many areas in the last few years and expressed gratitude to the department for all the help, cooperation, and support rendered to him during his tenure at the Department.

Mohammed Ali Shihab, IAS Secretary Power appreciated K.D. Vizo for all the contributions made to the Department and for being the catalyst in bringing several new developments to the power sector in the state. He also wished him the best in his new endeavor and would look forward to working with him again.

Er. Moatemsu Aier, Engineer in Chief, Department of Power also acknowledged the several contributions made by Dr. K.D. Vizo towards the department and acknowledged how he had led the department with calmness and kindness even during the most difficult of times. He highlighted how he had solved many issues facing the department, especially the work charge/field staff issue, for which the department would be forever grateful to him.

Representatives from the Electrical Inspectorate, the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission, Association of Power Engineers, All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers’ Association, and All Nagaland Meter Readers & Bill Association spoke during the programme and thanked him for all the good works and progress he had brought to the department and wished him all the best in his new endeavor.

The felicitation programme was chaired by Tumchobeni Lotha, Under Secretary Power while Nchumbemo Humtsioe pronounced the Vote of Thanks.
