PRA ON ODF-PLUS SUSTAINBILTY HELD AT NOKYAN VILLAGE

PRA activity on ODF Plus sustainability was conducted at Nokyan Village under Noklak District on 27th July 2021. The programme was organized by DWSM, PHED Tuensang and sponsored by WSSO PHED Nagaland.   

IEC Consultant, DWSM PHED Tuensang, Fairyson Sangtam said that open defecation free status has to be sustained through continued behavioral change communication. He also spoke on the key objectives of SBMG to sustain ODF status. The importance of Grey water management and various technological options available such as soak pits, leach pit at household and community level was shared by Er. Khaoshai Lam, SDO PHED Noklak. He also spoke on retrofitting of toilets and for appropriate treatment of black water and faecal sludge.

The exercise was attended by Village Council, WATSAN, Swachhagrahi, Anganwadi/Health workers.
