A key preparatory meeting for the upcoming Banana Festival 2025 was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha on 1st September 2024 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Vineet Kumar IAS.

The meeting focused on the planning and coordination required for the successful organization of the first-ever Banana Festival in Wokha District, scheduled to be held in the month of October 2025. Various departments and stakeholders participated in the discussion, which included detailed deliberations on logistical arrangements, work distribution, and event preparation.

The Banana Festival aims to celebrate local agricultural produce, promote entrepreneurship, and foster community engagement. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of inter-departmental collaboration and timely execution of responsibilities to ensure the event’s success.
