The Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre, NSC-Dimapur, under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, organized a two-day workshop titled "Professional Development Program for Science Teachers" along with an awareness session on "Innovation Quest."

The workshop commenced on August 25th, 2023, and the inaugural program was graced by Zeneikhonuo Vimero, Director of the Department of Science and Technology. In her address, she emphasized the significance of continuous professional development for teachers. She highlighted the department's commitment to supporting and contributing to the science and technology education sector. She encouraged all workshop participants to actively engage and gain maximum benefit from the program. 

S. Md. Peershavali, Teacher Developer from the Royal Society of Chemistry, served as the resource person for the workshop. The workshop brought together teachers from 44 different Government and Private schools across Dimapur, Niuland, and Chumukedima districts.

The Dimapur chapter of the workshop is being held on August 25th and 26th, 2023, while the Kohima chapter is scheduled for August 28th and 29th, 2023. The collaboration for this workshop was with The Royal Society of Chemistry, Bangalore.
