The draft publication of the Electoral Roll was held on 20th September 2026 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Election Officer, Wokha, Kulo Khromi, who presented a detailed highlight of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise undertaken in the district

Prior to the SIR, the electorate figures in Wokha district stood at: 37th Tyui Assembly Constituency (AC) – 25,932; 38th Wokha AC – 30,796; 39th Sanis AC – 24,372; and 40th Bhandari AC – 27,718. The enumeration phase was conducted from August 16 to September 14, 2026. A total of 1,08,818 Enumeration Forms (EFs) were printed and distributed, out of which 1,02,271 forms were received back and digitized by Booth Level Officers (BLOs). This resulted in a net deletion of 6 percent, amounting to 6,547 electors whose forms were not returned. These deletions were categorized as follows: Death – 1,928; Untraceable or absent – 928; Permanently shifted – 3,333; Duplicate – 273; and Others – 85, totaling 6,547.

To enhance voter accessibility, rationalisation of polling stations was carried out. Three new polling stations were created in constituencies where the voter strength exceeded 1,200. These include Koio II and Tsungiki IV under 37th Tyui AC, and Yimpang II under 40th Bhandari AC.

The draft electoral roll published as of September 20, 2026, records the following figures: 37th Tyui AC – 24,840; 38th Wokha AC – 28,252; 39th Sanis AC – 23,426; and 40th Bhandari AC – 25,753. The total electorate now stands at 1,02,271. The period for filing claims and objections has been fixed from September 20 to October 20, 2026.

The notice phase of disposal will run from September 20 to November 18, 2026, during which electors served with notices must produce prescribed documentation to establish their inclusion in the final roll. A total of 50,040 electors is expected to undergo notice and hearing during this phase. The final publication of the Electoral Roll with reference to October 1, 2026, has been scheduled for November 22, 2026.
