Responding to the requirement of ambulance for the purpose of road safety, the RAMKY- ECI Engineering and Construction Ltd. handed over two ambulances to Dimapur Traffic Police, under their corporate social responsibility, as an important stakeholder in the road safety sector.
In a simple yet significant function conducted at Commissioner of Police’s office, Dimapur on 23rd July 2021, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, IPS, expressed gratitude to the Company on behalf of the unit, DGP Nagaland, and the Government of Nagaland for their benevolent gesture, noting that it was the immediate and most important requirement, especially in the highways owing to occurrence of accidents now and then. The two ambulances (Mahindra Supro Ambulance ZX A/C BS-6 and Force Trax Ambulance AIS 125 Type B, AC BS-6) costing Rs. 20 lakhs which will be at the disposal of Traffic Police would be used specially for catering to the needs of the accident victims both on the National Highway and town areas and will not be misused, Rothihu asserted.
On the occasion, Commissioner Police assured the company that full security would be extended by the Police with regard to law and order, criminal activities which he said would not be compromised.
ACP Traffic Zone 2 Dimapur, Hentai Phom who chaired the function, observed that both the Ambulances were well suited for attending to all types of emergencies in the town areas as well as in the NH-29. He noted that the availability of ambulances would go a long way in saving lives by ensuring timely intervention and transportation of motor vehicle accident victims needing emergency medical care to hospital. He further observed that it would enhance their capability of providing emergency medical care to personnel of Dimapur Police during the COVID 19 pandemic and whenever required.
Pastor, Dimapur Police Baptist Church offered dedicatory prayer for the ambulances and all those who would be manning the vehicles.
The keys of the ambulances were officially handed over to CP Dimapur and DCP Traffic, Dimapur by the representative of the Company.
