In view of the rise and surge of COVID-19 in the district, as decided during the District Task Force (DTF) meeting, the DTF in collaboration with the medical department conducted random testing to contain, assess and take steps to stop further spreading in the community. The random testing was conducted at Wokha village, Rachan colony, Techeyiro colony, Chanka and Police Reserve on 22nd July 2021.

Out of the 59 samples collected for testing 5 (five) tested positive from the five locations. On 20th July 2021 testing was also conducted at Vankhosung Mission Compound and APMC area, where 39 samples were collected for testing and all turned out to be negative.Random Antigen test will also be conducted at Longsa village on 23rd July 2021. The DTF further requested all the villages to extend co-operation and come forward for the testing.
