Out of the 56 samples collected for testing during the random testing conducted at Longsa village, one tested positive.

The four-day long random testing (Rapid Antigen Test) which started on the 19th July, concluded on 23rd July at Longsa Village. It was held in and around 13 colonies/wards and two villages and a total of 604 (six hundred and four) samples were collected for testing out of which 7 (Seven) were detected positive.

During the exercise, almost all the business establishments, vegetables vendors, shop keepers, local residents within the town and villages which are in close proximity with Wokha town area were covered during the random testing.

Dy. Chief Medical Officer & In-charge of District Immunization Officer (DIO), Wokha, Dr.Zuben Kikon lauded the and appreciated the frontline line workers, Wokha District Chambers of Commerce & Industries, DPRO Team, Doctors & staff, DTF members, Police, DBs, GBs, Village Councils Chairman, colonies/ward chairmen and others who have actively participated and coming forward for testing and making the exercise a successful one.

Dr.Kikon also informed that future steps/exercise works have already been started and strategies have been planned out to carry out such more exercise to stop further spreading in the community, wherein he further seek the co-operation of all to extend the same support.
