Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) is being held from 1st-30th September 2022. Aboi sub-division held the programme for Rashtriya Poshan Maah on 9th September 2022.

Block level Anaemia and screening camp was conducted by CDPO Office, Aboi, Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with CHC, Aboi, Department of Medical with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aboi, Anoka H. Assumi, NCS as special guest.

Assumi applauded them for collaboratively organizing this event which will benefit the female population as a whole towards a healthier future. He emphasized the role of women in daily life and further added that a women's efficiency is linked to a healthy body. He further added that this programme is important not only at a governmental level but also at an individual and grassroots level of the community as it ensures the safety and health of the people. 

Programme was led by Senior Supervisor, Chingyam. Poshan Coordinator,  Phelei gave a brief explanation of what Poshan 2.0 is and its importance. She said the main aim of this scheme is to provide good nutrition to children under six years of age, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

Further, the importance of anaemic screening was delivered by Dr. T. Hongpe Konyak, MO AYUSH, CHC, Aboi. He explained that a simple test of haemoglobin can provide information if a person's paleness, fatigue, headaches, etc. are linked to deficiency in anaemia and hence its importance in early diagnosis of health issues. In conclusion, the vote of thanks was delivered by Limasangla CDPO, Aboi.
