On behalf of the Red Cross Society, the Deputy Commissioner Tuensang Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, distributed packages containing masks and soaps to all the wards under Tuensang Town.

Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner called upon the members present to continue the fight against COVID 19. The Deputy Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Red Cross Society Tuensang and to all the front line workers for tirelessly working to contain the pandemic.

The CMO, Tuensang, Dr. Moa highlighted on the importance of lending support to COVID 19 patients and requested the members to spread awareness to combat stigmatisation of patients. The Secretary, Tuensang Red Cross Society, T.Y Sangtam gave a short introduction on the roles and functions of the Red Cross Society and encouraged the members present to be part of the Red Cross.
