The celebration in Chumoukedima District was at Chumoukedima Town Public Ground.

On arrival, Minister of Planning & Coordination, Parliamentary Affairs and Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu unfurled the National flag and inspected the parade contingents followed by his address.

            The parade commander of the March Past contingents was ACP Chumoukedima, Ninoto Zhimomi, and the 2nd Parade Commander was ABI, Aren Jamir NAPTC. The participants of the parade contingents were 1st NAP; 15th NAP Mahila Battalion; Tetso College; Nagaland Police Central School; Government Higher Sec School, Chumu; St. Joseph University; Ex-Servicemen; Pipe Band, Team of Assam Rifle Training center. While Folk Dance was performed by Chekiye Cultural Troupe. The day ended with a retreat by the 1st NAP Battalion, Chumoukedima.
