In Longleng, the celebration was graced by Advisor Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan at the public ground, Longleng.

The Special Guest unfurled the national flag and took the Salute and inspected the six parade contingents comprising DEF Longleng, 12th NAP (IR) Chingtok, Village Guards of Pongo, Bauthung Government Higher Secondary School, Yingli College, and Pipe Band 12 NAP (IR) Chingtok. He then delivered the Address.

Modern Folk Fusion by Aman & Friends, the Inauguration of exhibition stalls by the Special Guest, and a Volleyball Exhibition Match between Team Naro & Team Manthei were the highlights of the day-long event. The programme was attended by Government officials, NGOs, Civil Societies, and the general public of Longleng.
