Republic Day was celebrated at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. 

Advisor, F&CS, LM&CP, Nagaland, Pukhayi Sumi unfurled the National flag and delivered the Republic Day speech. Altogether nine parade contingents (DEF Mkg, 2nd NAP, 13 NAP (IR), NHG, Pensioner (Defense Personnel), NCC MGHSS, NCC QMHSS, Bharat Scout and Guide and Band Platoon 2nd NAP Alichen) took part in the March Past with Mayangniken Asst. Comdt. 2nd NAP as the Parade Commander and ABI Imlionen 2nd NAP as the 2nd in Command.

On the occasion of the celebration, the entertainment extravaganza included a presentation of Cultural Dances by Cultural Club Khensa Village and Naga Wadir Club Ungma and the exhibition Tug of War between Watsu Mungdang and Govt. Lady Officers; Uniform Personnel and Non–Uniform Personnel. Later, Advisor Pukhayi Sumi inaugurated the Exhibition Stalls being set up by different departments.
